Flight testing, including testing for the impact, if any, to noise, are important elements to reaching Federal Aviation Approval.

Avcon Wins High Altitude Aircraft Mod Contract
December 28, 2022 – Avcon Industries, Inc./ Avcon ISR Solutions announces its agreement with IO Aerospace to modify a Learjet Model 35A business jet into high altitude – high performance mapping and data acquisition platform. The Avcon modified Learjet will provide IO Aerospace with the capabilities to install multiple sensors to perform environmental research, including Climate Change research, mapping and other special mission functions.

Avcon Receives FAA Approval 400A Starter/Generator for B300 with PT6A-60A Engines
FAA STC SA11298DS approves the installation of the two Avcon ISR Solutions 400 Amp starter generators on all King Air Model B300 series airplanes. Avcon previously obtained approval of the total generator capacity of 800 Amps on the King Air Model B300 airplanes with the PT6A-67 engines, and now Avcon has the entire fleet of King Air B300 airplanes covered with the addition of the PT6A-60 engine applicability. The installation also features a user-customizable power distribution system with 400 Amps of power from two dedicated electrical busses, allowing optimization for Special Mission Operations.

Avcon ISR Solutions Acquires new Facility to Accomodate Growth
Avcon Industries, Inc. closed on the acquisition of its new Aircraft Modification Delivery Center and Customer Care Facility located in Newton, Kansas. The facility, located within a short walk of the Avcon ISR campus on the Newton City-County Airport features 12,000 square feet of hangar and 1,600 square feet of office.
