Avcon Modifies Learjet for Two Sensor/Camera Ports

December 28, 2022 – Avcon Industries, Inc./ Avcon ISR Solutions announces its agreement with IO Aerospace to modify a Learjet Model 35A business jet into high altitude – high performance mapping and data acquisition platform.  The Avcon modified Learjet will provide IO Aerospace with the capabilities to install multiple sensors to perform environmental research, including Climate Change Research, mapping and other special mission functions.  The Learjet Model 35 will be equipped with fuselage-mounted camera ports (fairings to hold cameras with viewing holes) and the Avcon R/X range extension fuel tanks.  “In our business, we cannot often share the nature of our projects.  However, IO Aerospace is vocal and passionate about their mission, particularly the climate change research!  We appreciate the lengthy IO Aerospace/Avcon relationship and the IO Aerospace Team’s trust in Avcon products.” Commented Marcus Abendroth, President of Avcon.
