King Air Cargo / Air-Ambulance Door
A necessity for most freighter and air-ambulance operations, King Air door modifications provide much-needed accessibility to operators. In line with the flexible configurations that the King Air has come to be famous for, each door can be operated in standard passenger configuration while the extended door is closed.
Baggage / Air-Ambulance Door
STC No. SA00415WI installs a 13-inch door immediately behind the existing airstair door. The Avcon Baggage Door expands the total cabin door width to 38 inches.
The door and frame assembly is ruggedly constructed and reinforced with heavy-gauge conventional materials and the top-hinged design allows clear access during loading and unloading. The door is secured by a shoot-bolt latching mechanism that can only be operated when the Airstair door is extended, which provides an additional safety factor in flight.
Avcon offers several additional modifications in support of Air-Ambulance missions.
The Avcon Baggage Door facilitates the loading and unloading of patients on stretchers and bulky medical or special mission equipment and is an ideal choice for air ambulance, special mission, charter, and cargo operations.

Cargo & Airstair Door Combination
A factory option, King Air Cargo / Airstair Door combinations are used worldwide for air-ambulance and cargo operations.
STC No. SA2192CE installs the King Air Cargo / Airstair Door Combination, manufactured by Beechcraft (the same door offered on new King Air airplanes at the factory). The 52 in. x 52 in. Cargo door is top hinged and held open with gas springs, providing the accessibility needed for cargo and air ambulance applications.
The airstair door is fitted inside the cargo door and can be utilized when the cargo door is closed – preserving both the VIP passenger experience and the operator’s ability to rapidly convert to a freighter configuration.
STC No. SA2192CE is FAA and EASA approved for the King Air 200 and 300 series.
