Olathe, Kansas – Butler Avionics, Inc, a subsidiary of Butler National Corporation (OTC QB: BUKS), a leader in aircraft special mission and avionics modifications, engineering, integration, manufacturing and gaming industry service management, announces European Aviation Safety Agency (“EASA”) Supplemental Type Certificate (“STC”) approval of the Butler National Garmin GPS / Navigation / Communication Navigator GTN 750/650/725/625 installation in the Learjet Model 35, 35A, 36, 36A and Model 24/25 Series aircraft.

The EASA approved modification, STC Number 10063971, provides significant functionality upgrades to legacy Learjets, including WAAS GPS Approach capability, roll-steering interface to the autopilot, map display functionality, replacement communication and navigation transceivers, among numerous other features. The Garmin GTN Series features intuitive touchscreen controls and a large-screen display that provide Learjet pilots unprecedented access to high-resolution mapping, graphical flight planning, and geo-referenced charting. The installation also features new GPS roll-steering that allows seamless navigation operations with turn anticipation and waypoint sequencing interfaced to the autopilot.

“We have designed the installation to provide a wide offering of cost-effective options to meet the various Learjet operator requirements,” said Clark D. Stewart, Butler National Corporation President and CEO. Mr. Stewart added, “The GTN 750 Navigator upgrade in the legacy Learjets provides a significant enhancement to safety by replacing aging equipment with the Garmin GTNs which not only improves the quality and reliability of communication and navigation, but also increases situational awareness while decreasing crew workload with an easy to use touchscreen display. The GTN installation certainly increases aircraft value.”

The Butler National STC for installation of the GTN 750/650/725/625 is also available with the Garmin GTX 335R or GTX 345R transponders for ADS-B(Out) compliance for Learjet 30 and 20 series aircraft.
