Avcon modifies fixed-wing platforms to carry electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor payloads, datalinks, and mission-management systems. We engineer nose radomes, belly pods, and wing stations that maintain airworthiness while maximizing sensor field of view and line-of-sight performance.

Modern mission aircraft are complex systems of systems. Avcon engineers design the integration architecture, manage the interfaces between subsystems, and carry the program through FAA certification — delivering a fully capable, airworthy aircraft.
Avcon installs, interconnects, and certifies avionics suites ranging from glass cockpit upgrades to full mission-management displays. We integrate VHF/UHF radios, satellite communication systems, data links, and navigation architectures that meet the specific communication requirements of each mission role.
Sensor performance depends as much on installation quality as sensor capability. Avcon designs mechanical and electrical interfaces for EO/IR turrets, radar systems, camera pods, and atmospheric sampling equipment — ensuring structural integrity, thermal management, and signal quality are maintained across the flight envelope.
Mission payloads place significant demands on aircraft electrical systems. Our engineers design supplemental power generation, power distribution, and load management systems that support high-demand mission electronics without compromising aircraft electrical system certification or reliability.
Situational awareness depends on data moving reliably between sensors, displays, and ground stations. Avcon integrates MIL-STD and commercial data buses, Ethernet mission networks, and encrypted data-link systems — tested and certified to operate in the airborne environment.
Every system integration starts with an airframe that can carry the load. Avcon's structural engineers design and certify belly pods, antenna fairings, cargo provisions, door modifications, and custom equipment racks — providing the physical foundation that mission systems require.
Avcon works from customer mission requirements, translates them into an engineering design, coordinates with FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs), and delivers a Supplemental Type Certificate that allows the modification to be reproduced across an entire fleet.
